TWO-DAY EVENT ABOUT THE FUTURE OF CINEMA AT THE FEUERLE COLLECTION WITH PANEL TALK AND SCREENINGS22 and 23 February 2025

The Feuerle Collection is pleased to announce a special two-day event dedicated to the future of cinema, taking place on February 22 and 23, 2025. This event is presented in connection with our second cooperation partnership with the Berlinale, coinciding with the 75th Berlin International Film Festival.
On February 22, 2025, the event will begin at 12:00 PM with an engaging Panel Talk featuring Hella Wenders, CEO of the Wim Wenders Stiftung; Song Wen, Founder of the FIRST International Film Festival in Xining, China; Ljubna Playoust, film director and author of Chambre 999; and Désiré Feuerle, co-founder of The Feuerle Collection. The panel will explore the evolution and future of cinema, highlighting its role as a bridge between cultures and as a medium for profound artistic expression.
On February 22, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM, attendees are invited to enjoy two iconic film screenings:
- Chambre 666 (1982), directed by Wim Wenders, a meditative reflection on cinema’s challenges and relevance during its era.
- Chambre 999 (2023), directed by Ljubna Playoust, a compelling continuation of the conversation, envisioning cinema’s transformative possibilities today.
Both films will be shown in their original languages with English subtitles, offering a unique opportunity to experience this intergenerational dialogue on the cinematic arts.
On February 23, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 5:30 PM, the event continues with a curated selection of feature, documentary, and short films from the 2024 edition of the FIRST International Film Festival in Xining. This program will showcase dynamic and innovative voices shaping contemporary Chinese cinema.
