THE FEUERLE COLLECTION VIRTUAL REALITY FILM

The Feuerle Collection is pleased to announce the launch of The Feuerle Collection Virtual Reality Film on May 18, 2022, on the occasion of the International Museum Day, organized by ICOM, the International Council of Museums.

Embracing VR technology, our goal is to offer viewers throughout the world the chance to access the Total Artwork created by Désiré Feuerle in Berlin.

With this objective, we have partnered with Art Visit, a pioneering video-engineering studio based in Berlin, employing their patented 360° camera robot technology, producing a film featuring 18K resolution, and 320 million colors––a standard of quality comparable to 70mm film. The Film creates the feeling of a real immersive visit for the visitor. The quality of the recordings has also allowed to experience small exhibits and zooming in on exhibition details.

The exhibition of The Feuerle Collection has been captured from an infinite perspective, in constant movement, including 3D sound. The combination achieves a calm and fluid movement for the viewers, while capturing the museum’s authentic light and space conditions.

The VR Film can be accessed via iPhone/iPad, desktop or through 3D VR goggles, and via Vimeo.

With this VR Film, The Feuerle Collection finds itself ahead of present standards, as a forerunner of the future of digital technology developments to come.

Furthermore, The Feuerle Collection wishes to take part in the current institutional debate about the use of VR and AR technologies in the art museum context, as an additional medium to engage with the audiences in new inclusive ways.
