<\/div>[vc_column_text css=””]The Feuerle Collection is pleased to announce a special two-day event dedicated to Signs of the Future in Cinema<\/strong>, taking place on February 22 and 23, 2025<\/strong>. This event is presented within the framework of our interdisciplinary commitment to cinema and our second partnership with the Berlinale, coinciding with the 75th Berlin International Film Festival.<\/strong><\/p>\n

On February 22, 2025, the event will begin at 12:00 PM<\/strong> with an engaging Panel Talk<\/strong> featuring Hella Wenders<\/strong>, Co-Managing Director of the Wim Wenders Stiftung; Song Wen<\/strong>, Founder of the FIRST International Film Festival<\/strong> in Xining, China; Lubna Playoust<\/strong>, film director and author of\u00a0Chambre 999<\/em>; Dean Wei<\/strong>, director of the Berlinale 2025 nominated short film\u00a0Extracurricular Activity<\/em><\/strong>,\u00a0together with Xu Yidan, and De\u0301sire\u0301 Feuerle<\/strong>, co-founder of The Feuerle Collection. The panel will explore the evolution and future of cinema, highlighting its role as a bridge between cultures and as a medium for profound artistic expression.<\/p>\n

On February 22, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM<\/strong>, attendees are invited to enjoy two iconic film screenings:<\/p>\n

Chambre 666<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0(1982), directed by Wim Wenders<\/strong>, a meditative reflection on cinema’s challenges and relevance during its era.<\/p>\n

Chambre 999<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0(2023), directed by Lubna Playoust<\/strong>, a compelling continuation of the conversation, envisioning cinema’s transformative possibilities today.<\/p>\n

Both films will be shown in their original languages with English subtitles, offering a unique opportunity to experience this intergenerational dialogue on the cinematic arts.<\/p>\n

On February 23, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM<\/strong>, the event continues with a curated selection of feature, documentary, and short films<\/strong> from the FIRST International Film Festival in Xining<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

12:00 PM, Awarded Shorts of FIRST<\/strong>, A collection of FIRST award-winning short films.<\/p>\n

14:30 PM, Shards (2024)<\/strong>, directed by Yuzhi Jiang, is a poignant drama that delves into the complexities of family relationships during the COVID-19 pandemic. The film received the Audience Award at the FIRST International Film Festival in 2024.<\/p>\n

16:30 PM, Unstoppable (2024)<\/strong>, directed by Huijing Xu, is a compelling documentary that delves into the life of Zhang Weili, the first Asian UFC women’s world champion. The film captures her journey from triumph to personal challenges, offering an intimate look at her resilience and determination.<\/p>\n

All films will be shown in their original languages with English subtitles, showcasing dynamic and innovative voices shaping contemporary Chinese cinema.<\/p>\n
